 Still working side by side with the quilt show bom for 2025 and the Blume and Grow quilt, my Christmas present from Dawn.  This month 2 of the quilt show bom. I have the circles and hearts sewn, now to do the 4 outside pieces and 4 little circles.  Not sure why, but doing each section at a time I feel like it is progressing faster.

Sorry it’s a little dark. First hexie pinned to background. Looks like I need to align it a bit before stitching. Like the Blume and grow pattern  

 Decided to order a few extra fabrics from an online quilt shop from Minnesota. Not exactly local, but at least the same state. Like the fabrics, and see that several are the same or at least the same line in the quilt show bom kit. Guess my Blume and Grow will resemble that bom. No problem…

Cut to 5 1/2 since I had room  Decided to be brave and make my first cuts from the embroidery cloth. Pattern recommendations are to cut the small patterns into 5” squares and the large ones into 11” squares. After embroidery they will be trimmed of course. Cut the two small ones from the bottom. Not sure why it made me nervous, but it did. 

 Decided to cut some more fabric for my next hexie flower. Since I will eventually need some 1 1/2” squares (80) for the blocks and also some short strips, I decided to cut some strips. Will make it easier to have a few ready to cut and sew.

 Still plugging away. Have 7/10 hexie flowers done and 5/8 pinwheels done. Once I get them done I will sew them onto a background square.
